A resource for parents helping their children find success in school. Gathered and organized by the Parkmont School (a small independent school in Washington D.C. serving grades 6 through 12)
This site includes a lot of lists, of organizations, individuals, schools, and resources. Often it has their website links, sometimes it’s phone numbers and addresses. We’ve compiled the lists or moved them from other websites we’re on and we’re happy to expand them. In no case are we recommending any group or course of action but we are trying to make it easier for folks in the Washington DC metro area to find the help they and their children need to make school a successful experience. Many of the obstacles children encounter in school are related to their learning styles and abilities and many of the resources listed here provide guidance and help for students with learning differences.
